  • Diverse Library

    Funded Feb 14, 2024

I can't thank you enough for all you've done to support me and my students. Studies have shown that when students see themselves in texts, their comprehension rates are higher. I look forward to boosting my students confidence, becoming more culturally educated, and raising their academic success through the use of these books. Thank you so much!!”

  • Guided Hybrid Supplies

    Funded Mar 17, 2021

Room 304 is so appreciative of your generosity especially during such a n uneasy time. We can't thank you enough for your continuous support throughout all of our classroom projects over the years. As we return back to school, we want to be as careful as possible to ensure that we can STAY in school from here on out. These individual supplies will help establish a socially-distant and safe-guarded classroom. We are so grateful for the support we continue to receive. Thank you all!”

  • Personalize Learning

    Funded Jul 15, 2020

I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and generosity in supporting my students throughout this massive pandemic. When we learned we would be remote learning, I couldn't even fathom the amount of materials my students would need. While the Cricut was not the most important supply, it definitely increased the excitement of having a home office space for many of these children.

The Cricut allowed me to personalize each home office for each child. I was able to cut a variety of materials and create personalized privacy boards with each child's name written on it. While I was not there to see the children's reactions to their supply bags, the parents flooded me with picture messages of the home office they set up for their child. In many households where there is no desk or quiet space, these home offices gave children a private space to focus and engage in their learning. While I'm sure we can always give the children more, I think we gave them the best start to remote learning!

We appreciate our donors more than you will know. Thank you endlessly for your generosity.”

  • Making Centers Fun in Grade One!

    Funded Aug 1, 2019

Thank you so much for your generous donations to fund new supplies for my classroom. The children are so grateful for all the materials that make learning fun for them! They especially love the smelly markers, and they make great use of them during indoor recess (as pictured). We also really love the little binder rings. I have set up little math "toolboxes" for them and put little graphic organizers on the binder rings to help the children organize information for tricky math problems. The kids really enjoy having quality educational materials at their fingertips and they are forever grateful for the generosity of others in funding these supplies for them. Thank you and Happy Holidays!”

  • Specializing Small Groups!

    Funded Dec 12, 2018

Thank you so much for the classroom materials that you helped supply us with! We now have math centers for the whole year from the Teachers Pay Teachers Resource you helped to fund! The children love the centers and they are very conducive to their learning - as they are aligned with the Common Core State Standards and they are FUN! In addition, they LOVE the table-top easel you supplied us with! It is so helpful to have a small easel at my table for small-group instruction. The dry-erase portion is perfect for math groups and guided reading groups to model a skill before the children practice.

The children love these resources and it has really benefited their education, as it encourages the children to be active participants in their learning, and practice their skills multiple times a day. Thank you so much for helping our education!!!”

  • Radical Rug!

    Funded Sep 14, 2018

Thank you so much for our classroom rug! We eagerly awaited for a month for the rug to arrive - so it was very exciting when the rug finally arrived! The children were so excited to sit on the rug in the library. It is so soft and just the right size for our class! We started having morning meetings on the rug in the library, and that really added to our classroom community. All the children can fit on the rug and they all have enough space to be comfortable while having a morning meeting. We also started using the rug for independent reading time. The kids take their book boxes and pillows and curl up on the rug to read their books independently. They are really enjoying this part of the classroom now, and they really appreciate the extra space to spread out in. We are so grateful for your generous donation to our classroom, and we really appreciate your support in making our classroom a successful learning environment for all. Happy Holidays!”

  • Small Group Table for Focused Learning

    Funded Aug 17, 2018

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your thoughtful and supportive donations to fund our small group table. As I'm sure many teachers understand, these small group tables are where the learning really happens. After a whole-group lesson, children come to these small group tables to have reteaching lessons, guided practice, or extending the lesson if they have mastered a concept. These tables are so conducive to learning, they are a staple in every classroom. When the children first realized they could write on the tables with dry-erase markers, the table instantly became a spot they wanted to come to. It has made learning engaging and hands-on, for a group of children that need the engagement to stay focused. Thank you for your generous donations to our classroom. The children really thrive when they are given the materials they need. Best wishes this holiday season!”

  • Mentor Texts to Inspire Learning!

    Funded Mar 15, 2018

Wow! Room 134 is so grateful for the mentor texts you supplied us with in this project!! When the boxes came in the mail, the kids were "ooh-ing" and "aah-ing" over each book I took out. We are so thankful for the collection of mentor texts and the fun experiences that those books brought to our classroom.

Over the past few months, the children have really been working on opinion writing. It was fun at first, when they were writing about their favorite foods and favorite things to do. But, when it came to writing their opinion on a text - the children were unable to even formulate an opinion. This package provided us with the most amazing mentor text to teach children to make an opinion. We loved "Hey, Little Ant" because the children could choose whether or not they wanted the ant to live - and the book provided clear, concise evidence so the children could back up their opinions. We found so much success in their writing with these mentor texts.

These texts also sparked classroom debates and conversations that led to new findings. We spent three days reading "Tops and Bottoms," discussing whether or not the hare was a good or bad character. This led to an amazing realization for these youngsters - sometimes characters can be both good AND bad. We are so blessed to have received this incredible package of quality literature. We will continue our great debates next year. Thank you!!!”

  • Expanding Our Classroom Library!

    Funded Nov 8, 2017

Thank you for your generosity in donating to our project. The children have greatly benefited from the new leveled texts in our classroom. During independent reading, the children now have multiple leveled texts to read in their book bags. This keeps them involved and active in their reading because they have a wider selection to choose from.

We have also greatly enjoyed the read-aloud texts from this package! The children enjoy the crafting lessons when there is an engaging mentor text. When we have engaging stories and projects to go along with them, the children are active participants in their learning and we see higher rates of mastery. The mentor texts for math are also a huge success! We are so blessed and grateful for all the resources this project has provided us with. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have greatly impacted the learning in our classroom!”

  • Peaceful Lighting

    Funded Oct 1, 2017

I can't even begin to express the impact the Peaceful Lighting Project has had on room 134. The children have felt the calming change in the classroom, and it has greatly improved their performance at their centers. Along with the lighting, the pillows have been an awesome addition to our library and our independent reading routine.

During our Christmas Read-A-Thon, the parents were able to come in and listen to their child read their books. It was a very calm environment, with the dim lamps around the classroom, and the children sprawled on their pillows on the rug. Afterward, the children carried all of the pillows to the big classroom rug and watched a movie on the screen, comfy with their pillows. Thank you for making the Christmas season magical for our kiddos. We appreciate all your support in helping us succeed!”
