Technology is important for our students at all ages. Because students all learn differently, it is crucial to have a center that supports my students independence while they learn. Through an iPad center, my students will be able to challenge themselves, build independence and have fun. Imagine being a student who has an Orthopedic disability and/or Attention Deficit Disorder...how do these disabilities affect learning? As an educator, it is important for my students to be engaged using a variety of learning styles. The iPad touch screen will empower my students who have difficulty using a mouse as they will be able to work more independently. Alternative seating for my students is also necessary as they have difficulty sitting still which greatly affects their ability to learn. Wiggle seats give them the sensory input they need to stay focused on a task and learn! I am excited about this opportunity to create a new center for my students.
