  • Reward My Reading Rockstars!

    Motivating students to read at home is not always an easy task. When I showed my students the fidget prizes that they could earn they were so excited they ran for the books! Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. Your gift is motivating all of my students to continue reading at home so that they can earn these amazing prizes. Those students who have already earned the prize are continuing to read, which is the best gift ever. Fostering a lifelong love of reading is the best gift of all!”

  • Wiggle While We Learn! - Flexible Seating Options

    Wiggling while we work has never been more important than this year! This year has been defined by movement restrictions, taped-off workspaces, three-foot and six-foot spacing requirements, and limited movement around the classroom. Your generous donation of tractor stools has allowed my students to move in their seats.

    Movement has been proven to help students learn and to provide them with the brain breaks that are needed during a long day. These stools have also helped by engaging more of a student's muscles and allowing them to sit up and remain engaged in our daily lessons.

  • You Sunk My Battleship! Coordinate Graphing

    Coordinate geometry has taken on a whole new form this year in my classroom! Due to your generosity, I have been able to transfer the plotting of coordinate pairs from the dull act of using pencil and paper to the exciting game of Battleship!

    Students were motivated to stay engaged in the math lesson and show a true understanding of graphing and locating points on a coordinate grid. By doing this they were able to compete with their classmates and try to win the game.

    Not only did they have fun learning and competing with coordinate geometry, but they were also able to make real-world connections to mapping and the use of coordinates. Your generous donations to our classroom have enabled my students to find a love of graphing in a fun and educational way.   • All Zipped Up and Ready to Learn!

    Thanks to you and your generous donation my students have been able to return to the classroom worry-free! The look of confidence they had when entering the classroom for the first time this year, knowing they would have everything they needed, was priceless.

    All students were given an amazing zipper pouch of supplies that allows them to complete every daily task in our classroom. They also received a personal dry erase board that allows them to solve their Math problems and share their work.

We are returning to in-person learning in our school! We are extremely excited to meet each other in person, continue to form a sense of community, and be able to interact in a live classroom! With this amazing new opportunity comes some challenges, we must remain six feet apart at all times and cannot move around the classroom. We would typically meet on our classroom rug to share ideas or students would come up to the whiteboard and share their work. The addition of individual whiteboards and Expo markers will allow my students to write down their ideas and share them with our class in a fun and engaging way! Each student will need an individual set of supplies that can be stored for them in our classroom. Many of my students come from lower-income homes and do not have school supplies available to them. By providing each student with a zipper pouch of their own supplies you will be providing them with the security of knowing that they are prepared for each day of school!
