Don't Be a Sucker!
Funded Apr 3, 2025You should have seen the kids' faces today when the boxes of suckers were delivered. They were so excited and right away asked me what they had to complete to earn one of the dum dums. I wish I would have been able to capture those smiles for you.
My students are truly blessed to have such wonderful support from so many in the community. I wish I was better at putting words to paper to really be able to show my gratitude, just know that it is there. Because of the organization of donorschoose.org, I am able to provide the necessary items that students need to find success in addition to an occasional treat. Thanks again!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Charipar

Funded Feb 14, 2025Thank you so much for the generous donations in order to motivate my students to work hard in class. It is amazing what a jolly rancher can do to increase productivity. Kids appreciate the options to get to select the treat of their choice.
My students are so lucky to have such wonderful support from so many repeat donors. I truly feel blessed to have the support that I do.

Staying Sharp
Funded Dec 4, 2024I want to guarantee that all my students are successful in and out of the classroom. Having a pencil is important for their success in writing. I realize we are in the digital age, but I am still old school and like students to pre-write and complete rough drafts before using a computer. I have the privilege of having students for a two period block. This really gives me a chance to get to know them better and focus on their needs.
In addition, my students are bright, hard working, kind and are compassionate.
I have numerous students with individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504s. These students come from a variety of backgrounds and situations. I want to be able to provide my students all necessary items to reach success.
Throughout the course of the school year, my students will be working on various writing assignments. I hope to provide them with pencils for them to work on their pre-writing, rough drafts, editing, and revisions. I hope that my students learn the writing process and gain confidence in their writing through the course of the school year. I want all of my students to be successful, including those students I serve with special needs. In addition, being able to provide them with a snack also goes a long way and they love fruit snacks!!”

Funded Nov 27, 2024Thank you so much for providing a variety of snacks for my students to enjoy in the classrooms. I have already opened some of it and have started to share it with students when they do a nice job and work hard. Sometimes having that small piece of candy or jolly rancher for motivation is all the encouragement students need to plug away and get the job done.
It really is a challenging thing we are asking students to do each day. I am so proud of my classes and know they are really excited about having a treat now and then. Thanks again for all of your support.
Our classroom has been blessed by the generosity of others. We really do appreciate all that you do for students!”

Colorful Thanks
Funded Sep 10, 2024Thank you so much for the wonderful thank you cards that I will have my students use to send thank you cards to previous teachers and their parents. Writing thank you cards is such a good life skill that will carry over in the future. So many people fail to thank people when they are given something or something nice is done for them. I think this skill is critical for students to learn.
Thanks also for the colored markers that were supplied. I know my students love making their projects look amazing, which I hang in the hallway. Thanks again for all that you do to support students!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Charipar

Funded Aug 12, 2024Amazing is all I can think to say. The day the goldfish came, I already had students eating them because they had show choir practice after school and they needed something to tie them over. Without your kind and generous support, I would not have had these to offer.
I am so impressed how others come together to help feed students that are hungry. This small snack allows them to focus better which in turns increases their learning. Without Donorschoose.org, I would still feed kids and bring them snacks, but this organization helps to offset some of the cost out of my own pocket. Thanks again for all you do!”

Funded Jun 13, 2024Wow, thanks! It is hard to believe that it has only been a few days since the earbuds arrived and already the students are using them in class. They are taking a reading assessment which calls for listening to a passage. It has been nice giving students that don't have their own earbuds a set to use. In addition, I have bags for them to store in my classroom whenever they might need them.
It seems like such a small thing, but it really does even up the playing field for all students. I have even had other teachers ask about them and I directed them to donorschoose.org right away.
My classroom has been so blessed to have such wonderful, kind and generous support. It is donors like yourself that allow my students to thrive. Thanks again!”

Funded Jul 17, 2024Thank you so much for the kind donations which will allow me to purchase curriculum support through Teachers Pay Teachers. We are in the process of using a new curriculum for this year and so I am certain that I will need to supplement this new material.
Without DonorsChoose.org, my students would not have so many wonderful opportunities to create amazing projects and stay as organized. Over the years, my students have been blessed and have become the real winners in getting a quality education.
Thanks again for all you do!”

Using the Basics
Funded May 9, 2024Thank you very much for the generous support to "Using the Basics." Students have already taken advantage of the new materials. You will need to stop at the school in a month to see their creative work hanging in the hallway. We have been blessed to have such wonderful parents and community members that have really stepped up to provide students with every opportunity to succeed. In addition, we have been blessed with donors that have contributed to several projects this past month!
It is so refreshing coming to work each day knowing that our students have such awesome support to make sure they are successful. I know for some of my students, they look forward to creating projects and so these supplies will be perfect!
Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous heart. I wish you all a wonderful year.”

Mrs. Charipar
