Dear Donors,

Thank you again so very much for your donation to our project. Your donation placed two new HP laptops right in our classroom and has become a huge tool for expanding student learning each and every day.

Now that the students have easy access to the Internet, the students are constantly verifying their own understanding our content but also building that same knowledge base. For example, our final text of the school year is Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. Because the setting requires the students to understand The Great Depression, the students had access to the Internet to support their small group's understanding of the dynamic and the troubles faced by people living through that period in our nation's history.

In addition to the laptops being a gateway for students to explore topics beyond the classroom, the students are also able to practice publishing their formal writings. Typically, my students work at their own pace to complete our final writing tasks. Because of this, it makes it difficult to schedule a time in our school's computer lab to take everyone to type their final essays. With access to our new laptops in the classroom, the students can transition over to the computer station to type and submit their essays electronically to me when each individual student is ready. This not only saves lots of paper but it also allows the students to o in and quickly edit errors without having to rewrite an entire essay (which they are most certainly thrilled about now).

Again, thank you so much for the enhancements that you have provided to my students' learning. They are still very excited about having these laptops in our classroom and anytime their excitement of learning is renewed, I feel renewed as an educator as well. Thank you so very much!”
