I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th in a urban community that supports students in many ways. My students are very diverse; they come from all kinds of backgrounds, speak several languages, and represent many nationalities. Our band students range from just beginning their musical journey to more advanced in their abilities. Very few students have the financial means to take private lessons and therefore get their primary music instruction in our class. Band is a place for them to be creative, learn to express themselves, learn to work cooperatively with others, and have fun!
