I teach at an Urban High School, often times students come to class without having experienced the world outside of their neighborhoods. Students often don't feel connected to the world outside of a few blocks from where they live. The district we are in is underserved and 100% of our students have free and reduced-price lunch. While the district has made efforts to increase technology in the school, things are still inadequate class to class. That is why I am attempting to secure a classroom set of Chromebooks for my World History courses. I want the ability to have a window out and make otherwise abstract concepts and places more concrete for my students. I want to integrate Google Classroom in a classroom with all the devices ready for students to use. I have several programs lined up to use these devices in order to connect my students to adventures all over the world.
