New Year, New Books!
Funded Sep 21, 2023Thank you all so much for reading about our school library and choosing to donate to our project to increase our offerings. More and more students have been coming in this year to use the library, and now we have even more offerings for every student who comes in.
Our library is open during lunch to all students, and during the during the day, it is open to classes that come in and use it for a period. Now when students come in, either with a class or by themselves, they have more options of books to read. Many of the students have expressed interest in graphic and visual novels, so these new titles will hopefully interest many of them.”

Funded May 10, 2023Thank you so much for taking the time to not only read about my students and our project, but to donate to it as well. It means so much to me and to my students to see people outside of our school donate and invest in our school community. This project was to receive school planners, or agenda books, with enough to cover all of our incoming freshmen.
All students enrolled in freshmen seminar were able to get an agenda book given to them during their first weeks of school. The use of the planner is something that teachers have embedded into the curriculum for this class. They are using it to plan out their semester, including important dates like the end of marking periods and school closures. They are also using it as a way to track homework assignments and long term projects as well.
Without your donations our students would not have been able to receive these planners, and use them to keep organized.”

Funded May 18, 2023Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my students and donate to this project. Being able to start this school year with tables has been such a game changer. It meant that as soon as the school year started, students were already sitting together and being able to talk and work together.
In the first week of school, many students are just getting to know each other. Students do not know each others names and are just learning about one another. Being able to sit together and work together at tables makes facilitating all of that a lot easier than if they were all sitting at individual desks. So thank you for making these first weeks of school engaging!”

Funded Mar 30, 2023Thank you for taking the time to read and support our school library project. It means so much to me and my students to know that there are people that want to support their library and their love of reading.
This project allowed us to get a number of new titles for our shelves as well as expand the amount of content in various genres. Specifically we have a number of students who have asked for more books in our mystery section. With this project we were able to get a number of classic mystery stories for our library, including Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie.
Thank you so much for helping bring this project to life.”

Funded Apr 12, 2023Thank you so much to every person who helped bring this project to life with their donations. This project was to help bring non-book items to our library so that more students could come and enjoy the space. With the donations we were able to purchase a number of different items such as coloring books, puzzles, and board games.
Once we had these items in the library they were pretty quick to be used by students. The items that were the first to be put to use were the coloring books and the coloring supplies. The students seem to really enjoy them quite a lot.
Thank you for getting these supplies into our library and into the hands of my students.”

Fueled and Hydrated Tutoring
Funded Mar 9, 2023Thank you so much to everyone who donated to this project for my students. Being able to bring out the juice boxes and snacks when they come into my classroom for after school tutoring or extra help brings such a smile to their faces. Students are in school already for such a long period of time, and asking them to stay later can sometimes be a big ask for them. But when they come in and see that the snack box is already out and waiting for them makes such a huge difference in their mood and their learning. Students are much more willing to engage in academic learning when their stomachs are full. So thank you for providing those snacks, so that they can stay motivated and fueled after school.!”

Sound of Silence in Class
Funded Feb 3, 2023Thank you so much to everyone who read about this classroom project and decided to support me and my students. I am glad to say that both the headphones and cases were put to good use as soon as they arrived at the school. We were able to match up headphones and cases together to give out packages to students who did not have headphones that work with their devices for school.
By getting these headphones into the hands and ears of my students, they have been able to not only get started with work more quickly, but to engage even further in the material. Because now they can hear their computer, and only their computer instead of a class cacophony.
This project is only a success because of the generosity of donors like you. So thank you for giving to my students and my classroom.”

Breathe Easy & Safely Part 2!
Funded Jan 12, 2023Thank you so much to all of the donors who read about our classroom and our project and decided to support them both. These items allow me to provide my students with an extra layer of cleanliness and safety during these winter months.
Thanks to this project I was able to clean out our air purifier and install the new filters inside of it. Then it was back up and running, helping keep the air circulating and clean for all the students who enter my classroom. The wipes have been especially helpful in cleaning down surfaces like the classroom tables that the students sit at daily.
Without your assistance, this project would never have come to fruition. So thank you for choosing our classroom to support.”

Flexible Library Seating
Funded Nov 29, 2022Thank you so much for helping provide our new school library with flexible seating. Our new couch has been such a wonderful addition to the space, and students are enjoying it so much.
Our school library has been set up in a classroom, so we have been doing a lot to make the space more comfortable, and more like a library than a classroom. One of the main ways we can do that is by providing students with multiple different types of comfortable seating that they would not normally find within a classroom. This couch has been a welcome addition. It has led to students sitting together to chat with one another, and a cozy place to sprawl out and read.
This couch has truly made a difference in our library, and I thank you all for helping contribute to this new seating.”

Funded Sep 20, 2022Thank you so much to everyone who came together to help provide my classroom with these brand new tables for my science students. It might seem small, but the addition of these new tables has made quite the difference both to my students, and to classroom activities.
As we come out of the Covid pandemic, students had spent a lot of time on their own and doing independent work. By filling my classroom with tables, it is a small step that encourages students to talk and work with one another instead of being solitary. It helps foster communication skills and teamwork, and also makes sharing and collaborative class activities much easier when everyone is sitting together around a table.
So thank you for helping build community and communication within my classroom. Your thoughts and donations are much appreciated.”
