Headphones On and Remain Calm
Funded Oct 16, 2017Thank you so much for all of your support. The noise reducing headphones have already made a huge difference in our classroom. There was a noticeable difference in just one day!
The noise canceling headphones have enabled and encouraged my students to be more independent. We use the headphones when another student is having an outburst, during fire drills, assemblies, and even during loud play time. Now, when the classroom or playground reaches a noise level that interferes with my students' learning and social interactions, they are able to appropriately ask to use headphones or grab the headphones on their own in order to reduce the noise.
Thank you so much for your continued support for our classroom. Our successful days have increased and the students are able to focus on their academic and social interactions. Thank you!”

Wobble While You Work
Funded Feb 4, 2017Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and generosity. Your donations have already made a huge impact in our classroom! Our little guys are able to be in constant motion while still remaining focused on their work. My students were very surprised when the wiggle stools arrived to our classroom. Each student wanted a chance to use the new stool right away!
One particular moment that stands out was when one of my students with ADHD had the opportunity to use the wiggle stool. Before we were gifted with the stools, this student would bounce around the classroom and fall out of his seat. After we introduced the wiggle stools and the rules that went along with them, this student would use his appropriate words to ask to use the stool during the academic activities during the day. He went from moving around the entire classroom to staying in one place and completing his assignments. At the end of the week, he exclaimed, "I earned so many stickers this week for getting my work done! I can't wait to tell my mom what a good job I did!"
The wiggle stools have made a visible difference in our classroom this year in just a short amount of time. Not only do my students have an appropriate way to get their sensory needs met, but they are gaining confidence every day in both math and reading. Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our classroom!”
