  • Bringing Learning to Life with Colorful Visuals

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

I am so humbled by your generosity with supporting my classroom. If you are a repeat donor or someone who is donating to my classroom for the first time, please know I appreciate your kindness and support. I am excited to be able to make colorful visuals to enhance my lessons for my special needs preschoolers.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Comeau

  • Classroom Organization is Key!

    Funded Oct 1, 2024

On behalf of my students and myself, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your generous support through DonorsChoose. Your kindness and belief in our classroom have brought us not just essential supplies, but also renewed excitement and energy for learning and organizing our space.

When I first shared this project, I envisioned a classroom that was more organized. Thanks to your thoughtful contributions, that vision has come to life. The Label Maker, Multipurpose Caddy Organizer, Sticky Notes, pens, Vinyl Sticker Paper, and Classroom Timers you provided are already making a tremendous difference in how we operate and thrive as a learning community.

Your generosity reminds us all of the power of community and kindness. I am beyond grateful for your support. Thank you for making a difference in our classroom and in the lives of my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Comeau

  • Learning about Pets

    Funded May 8, 2024

I wanted to share with you the incredible impact your generous donation has had on our classroom. Thanks to your support, our students have been thrilled to explore and engage with the Veterinarian Kit, Pet Vet Center, stuffed animals, and Fake Fish Tank.

When the materials first arrived, the excitement in the classroom was palpable. The students' eyes widened with enthusiasm as they discovered the new tools. They eagerly gathered around the Pet Vet Center and immediately began to imagine themselves as veterinarians, caring for the stuffed animals and the fish tank. It was a moment of pure joy and curiosity.

Your contribution has not only enriched our learning environment but also inspired and motivated our students in ways that extend far beyond the classroom. We are incredibly grateful for your support and the difference you have made in their educational experience.”

    Mrs. Comeau

  • Sensory Integration for Preschoolers!

    Funded Mar 15, 2024

I am truly blessed that you took the time to find my classroom project to help fund! I was blown away at how quickly my project got funded and it is all thanks to your wonderful generosity. Without your support, public school classrooms do not always get the materials needed to help support our curriculum. It is important to have tangible items to help our students flourish and learn. The majority of students I teach have ASD and it is important to have the proper materials to assist them with their sensory needs in my classroom. From the kinetic sand to the weighted blankets, I am excited to now have these materials in my classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Comeau

  • Sensory & Communication

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

The materials for my project of sensory and communication has truly been valuable in my classroom. I can not thank you all enough for your generosity and kindness in funding my project. My students have been using the visual boards to help them express their wants and needs. It has made a big difference in our daily routines to enable help give our students a "voice" with visual aides.

The wobbly feet for the chairs has also been a huge asset for my students. They like the ability to sit on a chair and bounce when they are not able to sit still, but are able to sit in the chair and work on a task as they bounce.

My students require supports that are not readily accessible in a typical public school classroom and with your generosity, I was able to provide them with the supports needed to help them in school.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Comeau

  • Adaptive Seating

    Funded Sep 6, 2023

I can not express how much the adaptive seating you helped buy for my classroom has been an amazing addition. From the beanbag chairs, to the wobbly chairs, my students enjoy having other seating options throughout the school day. In a special needs classroom, it is important for my students to have different seating options.

Sitting still can be difficult for some of my students and the wobbly chairs have proved to be an option my students enjoy. They will sit for activities when they can move around in their chair.

The beanbags were introduced into our cozy corner. The students love them and want to sit on them when they need a moment to themselves. I have recently noticed one student taking a book and then sitting on the chairs pretending to read. It is adorable.

I am very lucky to have donors like you, some who continue to support my classroom with each project I post, who care about the needs of our students and who see the benefit of helping teachers get the materials needed for their classroom.”

    Mrs. Comeau

  • Color Ink for Visual Learners

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Thank you so much for the color ink for our classroom printer. My students with special needs rely on color visuals throughout the school year and this will help me print the materials they need. Being able to print our PECS (picture exchange communication) visuals where the students can point to what they want, enables them to use their "voice" in the classroom.

A visually friendly environment is so important for my preschoolers in general as they are not able to read and having pictures to label our materials to help them figure out where items belong or what something is before they open a box helps them learn to identify. I am so grateful for your generosity to help my students get the color ink needed to support their academic success!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Comeau

  • Weighted Vests for Sensory Input

    Funded Dec 22, 2022

I can not begin to express my sincere gratitude in helping my project for weighted vests come to fruition. Our school Occupational Therapist and I worked closely on this project as the students in our special needs class require weighted vests to help students focus, concentrate, and remain calm during the school day. The extra pressure on the body is helpful for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and sensory processing disorder. The vests have become part of some of our students daily routines and we have seen an improvement in their focusing and concentration. Thank you again for your generosity!”

  • Creating an Environment for All!

    Funded Sep 27, 2022

You blow me away with your kindness and generosity in support of my classroom. My students come from many diverse backgrounds and I needed to create a classroom environment that reflects different cultures.

The multicultural dolls and puzzles were a huge hit with my students. They look to play with them daily. The interactive map is another huge hit. The students love to hear the names of the countries and the animals that live in certain regions. My students benefit so much from these materials to support their learning, language, and social emotional development.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.”

  • Puzzles And Games Enrich A Child's Learning

    Funded Sep 7, 2022

I can not thank each and everyone of you for your generosity in support of my classroom project. My students were so excited to get the puzzles and games to support and enrich their learning. The fruit and veggie dominoes as well as the farm animal memory game supported our Harvest Unit where the children were learning how to harvest crops on the farm. We will be using the sound boxes and the touch recognition game for our 5 senses unit. We are so excited to have these materials to enhance our students learning in the classroom.”
