Printer Help
Funded Feb 5, 2016Dear Donors:
Since we received our printer, our paper and our ink our class has been able to complete many types of projects. I love when my students get excited about learning. Having a printer, plus ink and paper has open up many doors for my students. Plenty of my students do not have a computer at home let alone access to a printer or even the Internet. They have been able to learn how to create power point/slide projects as well as completing webquests, as well as essays and stories. My students have been learning how to research on their own to accomplish a task and learn about certain historical events at the same time. Now with the printer they have been able to print up their research and complete their assignments on time.
My Students are most excited about showing off their finished products now. They love the fact that after weeks of working on something they can just print it up and present it to their peers. My students usually do not like to research since they had no way of printing their research and taking it home. Now they are not limited in what they can do and see. They like printing up images to help them better understand the topic we are learning about and sharing those images with their classmates to promote discussions about the topic.
I do have several students that have learning disabilities that need a visual in order to better understand the topic. Now they can just research the topic and print up the written work as well as visual and graphic organizers to help them better understand whatever topic we are learning about. These students have even been able to take what they have learned in the classroom and repeat the knowledge at home printing up a visual and graphic organizer if they do not understand a particular part of whatever they are learning about.
Having the use of a printer in my class has been not only helpful but rewarding. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful gift.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Kulikowski
