Hands on Math
Funded Sep 7, 2022Thank you soooo much for your support and generosity. My students were so excited to use their sensory table tray with different manipulatives. Many of them could not wait to get their hands in the tray and learn through play and feel. Their curiosity was especially peaked when they were able to switch out the trays contents with other sensory tools from our new clear bins. They have been working hard to keep everything nice and tidy for future students to come.
My students are now responsible for switching out the contents of the tray and keeping things organized. I am so proud of the way they have been collaborating to help maintain our classroom running smoothly and accessible to all.”

Funded Feb 3, 2022Thank you so much for your generosity. My students were ecstatic to use their new magnetic board during centers and the giant dominos. They have been ver adamant about being careful when using these materials so they can take care of them, huge feat for kindergartners!
Our sensory table is full of beads and rings for them to explore, feel, and use in the morning and the afternoon. Our overhead lights are now usually off so they can enjoy the warm glow they give off from our light up table and this has helped make our room feel more relaxed and cozy. I am excited to keep incorporating these resources into our daily routines.”

Funded Dec 22, 2021Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. My students have been thoroughly enjoying the sensory beads during our literacy and math workstations. The power tower has helped keep our iPads charged and ready to use. My students are able to label their own materials and rely on themselves and each other to fix their problems, they are becoming so independent and resilient! Our new portable whiteboard has had the biggest impact. We use it every single day, multiple times a day. My students create words with magnetic letters so they can practice reading. They also use the magnetic dominos to compose and decompose numbers. I am so excited to see what else we can accomplish with these resources.”

Funded Feb 15, 2021Thank you so much for your generosity. My students are now able to see multiple windows open on my computer during learning thanks to you. They can see what I am writing and a vocabulary bank at the same time, even from home! The most exciting part is that now my in person kids and virtual kids can see each other while learning from home in real time. This is exciting news especially for our students who have been isolating since the beginning of quarantine last year. Now our class is really connected.”

Funded May 19, 2020Thank you so much for all your help and generosity. While this year has been the most challenging, the supplies and materials we received are helping my students count, learn, read, and write. When we first received our materials my students and I were so excited for all the new possibilities. My students will continue to explore and learn with the resources you all funded, soon we will start our butterfly nursery during our life cycle science unit. The playdough stampers have been a great hit with everyone, plus they are easy to sanitize so all students can use them safely.”

Funded Oct 2, 2017Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. My students are so excited to get to use our new materials every day. Their faces lit up when I told them about all the new materials we were going to receive. So when the boxes were delivered to our classroom they could hardly contain their excitement.
I have noticed such a change in their reading habits since we received our new easy reader Spanish books. My students are now more confident and motivated to read since the books are just right for them. I can see their love for reading blossoming. Now every time they come to the guided reading area they want to bring the yoga balls! They stay so focused and work with the whiteboards so well while still getting their wiggles out. These balls have made such a big difference for my little friends who have so much energy and have a hard time being focused. Now they can bounce and wiggle while still completing the task at hand. My students have also been able to focus more during our iPad time since they each can have a turn using the headphones. Now the classroom isn't as noisy so they can listen to what the story says and the other students are not distracted by the audio books on the iPads. Our new Apple TV has truly made our classroom so much more accessible for everyone. It allows me to sit right next to the students and model our work up on the projector. Now the students can take any iPad and show the whole class their work no matter where they are in the room.
Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. I cannot fully express my gratitude. You have given my students the opportunity to have a safe and nurturing learning environment, and I couldn't have done it without your help.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”

Technology for Little Learners
Funded Feb 20, 2016To all of our donors,
Thank you everyone who has made this possible for our classroom! My students are now able to access resources that better serve their individual needs in a fun and engaging way.
The iPad we have received has helped motivate students to take charge of their own learning and interact with technology that is stimulating and developmentally appropriate for them. They now know how and why we use technology in our classrooms and how we can use the internet as a tool to do research and learn. My students are especially fond of all the different math games they can now play to practice their counting, number ID, addition and subtraction.
The iPad has been a very great resource and tool for my students with special needs. Since they can be more independent and track their own academic growth, they have more ownership of their learning. This has greatly and positively impacted our classroom in such a fun way.”
