Suitable Supplies for Star Students!
Funded Aug 7, 2020The composition notebooks were such a blessing for my students this year. We have literally used these for everything this school year. The student's penmanship has gotten very legible based on the primary lines. I used the binders to send home laminated math tools and things students need. This was very convenient for my classroom because they did not lose these items. When I was speaking to other colleagues students were repetitively were losing these materials and they had to be replaced. The binders were such a life saver.”

Funded Dec 27, 2020Students were very excited to get the donation materials that you so graciously provided for us. The sketch pads were a place they could place their artwork so they didn't lose it. The art teacher and I have done a lot of drawings with students and most were using lined paper so this was so very helpful. I also purchased many science resources on teachers' pay teachers to assist with the online learning. It is hard to keep students engaged when they are 6 or 7 and remote. These materials were bright and kept their interest.”

Remote Learning Tools for Children
Funded Aug 11, 2020Thank you so very much for the materials that students needed to navigate the remote world of education. Small things meant so much to my students. Items such as stylists helped the student to create documents to display an understanding of the topics that were being taught. It is hard to utilize technology when students are only six. They have a hard time typing so these materials were very useful so they could write and draw on the screen. Other things such as whiteboard markers and whiteboards were so important so they could hold up representations of answers for certain questions so I could view them on their two-inch screens.”

Funded Aug 5, 2020Our district has been remote for the majority of the school year. Students in our district come from low-income families and supplies for the school were hard to come by for these families. Simple things like notebooks, crayons, and pencils were gratefully received along with the other items within the donation. This year's class has enjoyed how to draw videos so a request for sketch pads was asked for in this donation to allow for the students a place to collect these pieces of art that the students have enjoyed within the remote world.
This group of students have really appreciated and used everything from this donation and have grateful to get such items delivered to their homes.”

Super Supplies
Funded Jul 27, 2020This donation helped all of my students navigate the remote world of education. My students come from low socioeconomic families and this helped them not have to worry about supplies but keeping a roof over my students heads and food on the table. It is hard for students now especially not being within the classroom walls to get what they need. The crayons and markers have been a wonderful contribution to a first grade classroom. They are learning how to turn their stick figure drawings into illustrations with many more details. The folders are being used to hold their poetry notebooks and the other color is to hold assignments to be finished later.
The students were delighted when they found out the things that they were receiving. They especially like the fact that they had everything packed up and ready to go the week before school started. Parents were even more delighted and were very appreciative for such things that were provided to them.
Our district is still continuing to be a remote setting due to Covid-19 cases keeping our city in the red zone but with your contribution it makes it a little easier.”

Supplies for Super Start
Funded Aug 13, 2019I apologize for this late thank you note. The time in first grade flies and there is always a lot to do. We really love all that you supplied us in the beginning of the year. The students use everything on a regular basis. They have done such an excellent job taking care of their crayons and use them to illustrate such beautiful pictures. We have been focusing a lot on writing this year and the notebooks you supplied has given the students the tool that they needed to see their writing grow through the year. We really appreciate everything that you have done for us.”

Funded Oct 26, 2018This project has been so very helpful create a very smooth running classroom. Many of the storage items in the classroom had been either lost or broken at the end of year last year when I was out on my maternity. This was such a great way to show students responsibility when I was able to reorganize the classroom. They are now much more independent getting essential materials like glues sticks and scissors. Math materials are also not getting lost as easy.
The spinning bookcase is a great way to display seasonal books that I bring out every month. The students know where to go to find them. I also use it for beginning chapter books and leveled readers. The students are very careful with it and are more interested in reading because they can go to this special bookcase.
Thank so much for your generosity.”

Funded Jul 19, 2018This project was an excellent one for the beginning of the year. All of my students got all the things that they need for materials. Their parents did not have to go out and buy school supplies. They love their crayon boxes the best. They like to store their brand new crayons and pencils inside them. They also like to put their tiger tickets (something they earn for good behavior) in them. This way they won't lose them. Another thing that this class loves about the materials was the Lysol wipes. This group of kids do not like to have a dirty desk and they love to take a wipe and clean their desks with them.
This group did not get to see these items unpacked because they came in during the week before school started. They did however were in awe when they walked in the first day of school.”

Reading for ALL!!!
Funded Dec 18, 2017Thank so very much for your generous donation. First off I want to apologize for this being so very late. I went out on maternity earlier than expected and its been a catch up since I have been back.
Your donation is a tremendous help in the classroom. Books are crucial so that children can learn to read. With the literacy opportunities you gave my students they have been increasing their fluency and reading skills. They love the fact that they have new resources just from them. Many books in our build can be out dated or not of high interest and the donation help fill the excitement to these you readers.”

Giddy Up for a Horseshoe Table
Funded Mar 10, 2018The horse shoe table was one of the best donations that our classroom has ever gotten. It helps the students with guided reading and small math groups very much. I am able to sit closer to my students and interact with them more efficiently than ever before. I have small groups at it all the time and it makes the learning much more beneficial then sitting on a small square table that the kids or myself couldn't fit under.
When the kids first saw the big box in the room they were shocked. They had no clue what it was and they made many guesses. Our custodian so kindly put the table together and kids were in aww of the nice new piece of furniture. They absolutely loved the chairs as well especially the color. I love the fact on how sturdy they are. It would take a lot for one to actually break.
The next step in this project is to continue to have small groups to individualize the instruction much more. I also have been using it as a space to where the kids can sit if they need a break from the group that they are sitting at.”
