This year my classroom is going to be going through a serious makeover. Students will be completing projects based on their passions and what they make connections to, not what I assign them. I really want them to learn to explore, struggle, and be persistent through their projects. Their topic will hopefully light a fire in them to give their best work that is more than "good enough". All the while, I will just be facilitating and guiding them through the process. We will reach out to outside experts and really focus on hands-on experiences. Osmos for our iPads is the first step into this passion driven transition that will allow children the space and freedom to dive deep, maybe fail, and learn to try again. These Osmo kits creates an opportunity for students to use technology, but turn it into a hands-on experience. They will learn to think critically and use their hands to manipulate, build, and redirect. I cannot wait for the opportunity to see the students shine. grow, and be passionate about learning!
