Perkins Bass Elementary School instructional design is aligned to the Personalized Learning Model. Students are given the flexibility to learn based on their needs and level of comfort while in their general education classrooms. As the Fine Arts Instructor, I'd like to continue that trend throughout the building while students attend their specials class. Often, I integrate non-fiction novels into my curriculum that students can relate to in their daily lives. My classroom is bare and equipped for dancing, so while trying to implement a literary component, my students would opt to having to sit on the floors while reading This is not how I envision my scholars developing a love for reading while pushing their creative thinking skills for performances. By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase students' reading skills and help build a sense of ownership and pride within our classroom. Students will be able to read comfortably and enjoy the ambiance of the room and space without locating traditional table and chairs.
