  • Magical Organizing Tools for First Grade

    Funded May 8, 2022

I can not thank you enough for your support of my classroom. The seat sacks are an important component of our daily routines in my classroom. Before, many students were stacking their books on a table on or a nearby book shelf. This created confusion of students books and a loss of learning time.

My class was thrilled when the boxes were delivered to our classroom. When I opened up the boxes and they realized they were each getting a new seat sack, they all cheered! They were so happy to know community members care about their learning at school and want to help.

Now, thanks to your generous donation our class is organized! My class is able to keep their books in their individual seat sacks neatly organized and ready to learn. Our learning tool have all been moved closer to students lowering the amount of transition time. This gives students more learning time.

    This is fantastic!

Once again, thank you for your generous donation to my class!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. V.

  • Getting Creative Cricut Style!

    Funded Oct 26, 2020

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for your kind and generous donation! I can't tell you how excited our teachers are to have the opportunity to create with these amazing tools! I have talked to our teacher that runs Student Council and he's really excited about getting his kids creating! His mind is whirling! He's thinking about all kinds of things. He's definitely thinking shirts, but there's so much more they can design and make. Currently, we are in a Shelter in Place due to COVID-19, but when we come back, he's interested in many different activities for them to create!

I have also had a dream of doing a sensory path in the main hall for our children with special needs. We have 3 Special Day Classes. I have put in a request to start a committee to create a sensory path with my principal. I can't wait to find out what kind of amazing things we can have for our sensory path. There are so many ideas! It's very exciting! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!”

  • Fabulous First Graders Need Distance Learning Kits!

    Funded Jul 23, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. Your donation of primary journals, spinners, Unifix cubes, playing cards, dice, sand timers, and reading trackers have been so helpful in my classroom. Due to our new learning environment my students need to have learning tools available at home during distance learning. Having this tools readily available during our learning time is allowing every student in my class to be as successful as the can possibly be.

My students enjoy writing daily in their new primary journals. I am able to share my screen and we are able to create a directed class journal entry. We also frequently use our Unifix cubes to help with math problems problems and dice to create math problems.

Thank you again for the positive impact your donation has made on my class.”

Thank you for the wonderful opportunity you have provided to my first grade students. • A Class In Need of Supplies

    Funded May 5, 2020

I am so grateful for everyone who donated to my project. It has been a challenging year to start for my students. We have not been in our classroom and it has been incredibly difficult for them. I meet with my students virtually every school day and we work on our academic content, such as math, language arts, writing and art. I was so excited to share the incredible news that our project had been funded! I shared with them all of the amazing items they would be receiving. They were all so excited to be able to have their own set of markers, colored pencils, erasers, a pencil box, water colors, and glue sticks to use at home. I was able to make individual student packages and created a meet and greet date for families to pick them up. Students and families were so happy and excited! Your generous donation made this possible!

All my students now have the tools needed to feel prepared for their learning day virtually, thanks to your generous donation. It is amazing to see so many happy learning faces!

Thank you again for making a difference in the world young minds.”

This rug has made such a positive impact in my classroom. My students love using their new rug to read during readers workshop or during math instruction.

The rug is also used for fun and games. We love to play with blocks, math manipulatives and puzzles. My students most treasured moments are reading a book on our bright and comfortable carpet.

I remind my students that if it was not for Donors Choose, it could not have been a reality. I am so grateful for this wonderful organization and I look forward to utilizing Donors Choose again in the future to boost my students' learning.”

  • Please Help My Children Learn!

    Funded Mar 15, 2018

My students were filled with excitement when our project was funded thanks to your generous donations. When our white board table was set up for them to use, they were all in amazement. All I heard all day long was "how amazing this table is" and "thank you" from every student in my class. The standing easel was a perfect addition to display examples for students to see. My entire class felt incredibly happy to know that there are generous donors that are concerned about their learning.

Your generous donation has allowed my to increase my instructional time. My students are able to write their response directly on the table. This eliminates passing out white boards and having to hold a board up to share answers. This results in more time for student learning. This also creates a fun learning environment for my students to write on a table when we are working on our spelling words. They feel incredibly fortunate to have the latest style table. The shape of this table allows me to be in the center and in close proximity to monitor the learning of my small group.

We are so thankful for your support and appreciate your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. V.
