  • Children's Call to Action

    Funded Dec 21, 2024

I am so honored and grateful to receive support for this project. My students, colleagues, and I are so excited and eager to put your donations to use. Thank you for believing in the power of educational experiences that show students they can be agents of change. We look forward to sharing the amazing work the kids do.”

  • From Fifth Graders to Cultural Curators: School to Museum Transformation

    Funded Sep 30, 2024

On behalf of myself, my colleagues, and my students I want to express deep gratitude for making this ambitious, important, and impactful project possible. Due to your generosity and investment in public education, our students were able to take ownership of their learning and discover how capable they are of educating the school community and how much knowledge they bring into the school every day.

Often students are treated with a deficit mindset, as if they are in need of repair, but in reality they are full of insights and experiences that we can cultivate and keep growing. This is not possible without hands on projects that unfortunately are usually considered impossible due to funds. You removed that barrier and encouraged us all to teach our students in the way they deserve.”

  • Every Snapshot Tells a Story: Literacy Through Video and Photography

    Funded Sep 7, 2021

It might feel like a small gesture to donate money to a classroom, but the impact it has is huge. By helping me provide my class with these tools that engage and excite students and also give them a means to express themselves you are having a huge impact on student learning and future success. My students were so thrilled to use these cameras in a variety of ways and they were a large part of what made them happy to come to school. Not only did they learn more about how a camera works, they learned what they could use it for and how to work together to create a photograph. Thank you so much for giving them that opportunity.”

  • Pandemic pen pals: learning to connect despite distance.

    Funded Nov 20, 2020

My class and I are so grateful for your contribution to this project. Some writing materials seem simple but during this time of isolation and unexpected change it was an incredible comfort to get the tools to stay connected. My students grew so motivated to write and connect with others even during the peak of the pandemic thanks to you. I truly believe this project that you made possible allowed these students to stay hopeful and social despite the very real challenges they faced. Every time they received a letter they looked so happy and were so eager to write back. Thank you for making that possible”

  • Quien Soy Y Quienes Somos:Self Portraits and Community Murals

    Funded Jun 17, 2019

As you can see what you generously provided for us is being put to good use! We are feed our bellies and souls with treats, new knowledge, and new perspectives we are gaining by engaging in conversation.

I wish the pictures could fully capture their excitement and engagement with this simple, yet complex activity that you made possible. I am noticing a major difference in how much they want to practice speaking Spanish and talk to each other about everything from what they did over the weekend to the new books you got us to read. Thank you so much.”

  • Books that Provide "Mirrors, Windows, and Sliding Glass Doors"

    Funded Dec 17, 2018

It seems simple to have books in a reading classroom, but it is actually so challenging to find and be able to afford books that truly open up students minds. We normally make do with sharing and photocopies, but thanks to you each child gets to engage with their own copy of books that are so engaging and relevant to their culture and the content. They are devouring them and so excited to use them for projects. Your donations have inspired them to see themselves as readers because they see themselves in the texts they are reading. We are so grateful.”

  • Learning to Earn

    Funded Sep 13, 2018

Thanks to your investment in our class, my class knows not only the meaning of the word investment, but also have the experience of it. You are the reason I can go above and beyond for my students and make sure they are financially literate and equipped with the real world economic skills they need. Students have been having so much fun while they learn and are so grateful for your generosity. It means a lot to them and to me to know that people out there want us to succeed and know that with the right tools we can.”

  • Reducing Our Classroom Carbon Footprint

    Funded Jun 29, 2018

Thanks to your generosity my students started learning the minute they walked in the door. Not only did they learn how the new items in the class are greening the world and helping us reduce our carbon footprint, but also how kind and supportive people can be. They all walked in the first day ooing and awwing over the new and improved environmental friendly classroom and were even more impressed when I told them it was all made possible because of generous donations from people who believe in education. My class and I want to thank you for supporting our green efforts!”

  • Farmer for a Day

    Funded Jan 16, 2018

Watching my students see all the things we learned about in action was so incredible and I can't thank you enough for making it happen. Our visit to the farmers market was full of 'ooo's and 'ahhh's over all the new sights and lessons. I know those Oos and ahhS will lead to a sustaining interest in caring for the world through care for plants and animals. When we returned students were even more eager to learn and contribute ideas because they saw what the lessons in their book look like in the real world. Your contribution when towards helping students develop into mindful people who will make the world a better place. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

    With gratitude,
