  • Mariachi Group Needs To Be Heard!

    Funded May 9, 2018

Thank you so much for all your kind donations. We appreciate all the support that was provided. We are extremely grateful and the students are sounding better with our new equipment.

The students have been practicing with the sound system and microphones and they are just thrilled to hear themselves and for the audience to hear them.

We recently performed in an outdoor community event and the students sounded amazing. During Christmas the students participate in a parade and bring happiness to everyone.

Once again, we could not have done it without your support and generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Guerra

  • Coding Robots for Kindergarten

    Funded Apr 8, 2018

My students were extremely excited when we received our coding robots. The smiles on their faces were priceless.

The coding robots encouraged the students to be able to use the controller to make Botley the robot move any directions they wanted him to move. My students actually learn how to set the pieces for the robot and had so much fun making him spin and talk.

I am very grateful to all the kind donations to my project. My next steps are to have an afterschool club and teach other students how to code.”

  • Little Engineers

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

My kindergarten students were super excited when our materials arrived. They couldn't wait for me to open the boxes and start exploring all the cool stuff we received.

All my students had an opportunity to use all the different building activities and they were very creative when they built their first cars and structures.

I am very thankful for all the kind donations to make this project come to life. Every week my students look forward to Engineering day and really took advantage of what it feels to explore, create, imagine and have fun.”

  • Future Scientists

    Funded Mar 13, 2016

I cannot express my gratitude with all your kind donations in getting magnifying glasses, binoculars, a fossil kit and rubbing fossils.

The students are very excited when we go out for nature walks and we take the binoculars around our garden to find birds and butterflies. We also have silk worms in the class and the students have a wonderful time looking at them with the magnifying glass.

The students are eager to come to school and they have so much fun learning. I know they will be great scientists when they grow up.”

  • We Need a Color Printer for our Amazing Lessons

    Funded Jan 25, 2016

We sincerely appreciate your kind donations in getting our project funded. The printer has benefited the amount of color copies that I can print for our thematic units.

We are currently studying about weather and plants and it is easy to print the vocabulary words and have them displayed in the classroom. It allows the students to have a colorful visual to go with the words. It is very convenient to have a color printer, scanner and copier all in one.

Thank you again for your continued support and gracious donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Guerra

The Mariachi band is a group of 30 dedicated students from Kindergarten all the way to Middle school. The students practice once a week with a professional musician that teaches them how to play an instrument and how to sing in Spanish. Most of the students it is their first time learning how to play an instrument and how to work together. The majority of the students have been part of the group for over five years and it just shows how dedicated they are with music. The students have become very popular around our community and they get invited to many events around the city. For many of the young students it is their first time performing to an audience. All of the students in our school receive free breakfast and lunch so it gets their day started. The students come to school with a big smile and ready to learn.
