These items will help to engage my students and let them learn in fun and engaging ways. Each of my students has individual learning needs but all of my students need help to engage in their learning and be motivated to work. Through toys and games we can work on many skills all at one time and have fun while learning. We can work on our social skills, our communication skills, our fine motor skills, our behavior skills, and our academic skills while playing one game. My students also need highly motivating reinforcers to earn during work times. All students regardless of what their abilities are deserve to have fun while learning. The purchase of these items will help to make my classroom more fun to learn in and will help motivate my students to do their best every day. For example, the Hungry Hippo game will teach students communication using words like "stop" and "go" as well as the social skill of turn taking. Students will work on their fine motor skills by pushing on the lever and will work on math skills by counting how many marbles they got. The popcorn popper and candy machine will give students a highly motivating activity to work for and students will be excited to use these items-who does not like candy and popcorn? Other games focus on colors, letters of the alphabet, reading, and matching all while continuing to work on communication, fine motor, behavior, and social skills. Students of all ages and ability levels enjoy playing and having fun. The more we can incorporate this into the classroom the more success we have and the more our students learn.
