We Kneed Your Help!
Funded Jul 24, 2024Thank you so much for helping my students feel comfortable and confident playing the game that they love. Once they get on the court with their new knee pads, they will be jumping and diving, and never letting a ball touch the ground again. They have been working so hard, and this will give them such a boost!”

Mr. Kiernan

Funded Jan 9, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. When I told my students that I was going to try and get a new camera and a green screen for our news show, their eyes lit up. You have no idea what this will do for our school community and I thank you greatly.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Kiernan

Funded Aug 4, 2022My students were over the moon when their knee pads arrived, and they felt so comfortable and confident. They are constantly watching professional and college games, and giving them the ability wear what the pros wear made them feel so special.
We were also able to purchase a volleyball cart, to which one of my students exclaimed, "Ooh, this is giving me rich-school vibes." My school is located in a low-income area and my students don't often receive the same opportunities as other students in the city. A comment like that, because of your kind donations, made them feel like they were just as important, talented, and deserving of good things as anyone else.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Kiernan

Funded Dec 3, 2019When I arrived at my school 6 years ago, there were plenty of resources for basketball and soccer, and a few used volleyballs that were barely used. Once I started the Volleyball team at my school, I realized that it unlocked hidden potential and confidence in my students that they may have never known was there. I knew that with the passion and hard work of my student-athletes, the volleyball program would take off. We used to have practice with over 20 student-athletes, and a few volleyballs. Now, every student-athlete can focus more on their skills and improving their play, which leads to more confidence and fun for each of them.
When I told my students that these volleyballs had been donated and that I wrote in the description about how much they deserved them, they were overwhelmed! Volleyball is their favorite part of the day, as they come to the gym each day during recess, and they always look forward to practice and the few games that we have against other schools.
With more equipment comes more opportunity for growth, and I can't wait to incorporate new volleyball drills and skills into practice, so that my student-athletes can improve their play and continue their love of the game!”

Funded Nov 15, 2016Thank you so much for your generous donation of the basketballs. Our team just clinched our first playoff berth in school history! The team arrives to school at 7am each morning before school to practice, and they take their role as student-athlete very seriously. If the students are not behaving and/or achieving high scores in all their classes, they are not permitted to take part in the team. Therefore, they understand the importance of being a well-rounded person, both intellectually and athletically.
Many of our students come from low-income families, and they are very grateful when someone takes the time to show that they care about them. At the beginning of the basketball season, we had to use basketballs with rips, ones without grip, and others that were smaller than regulation size. When the students saw that the new basketballs arrived, they were extremely grateful and excited. It made them feel like they were a real team, and motivated them to do their best.
In Physical Education class, we work on a new unit each month. For the month of March, we will be starting our basketball unit. While many of our students love basketball, there are many others who would love to learn and improve their game. With this donation doubling our amount of basketballs, we can incorporate more skills and activities during class so that each student has a chance to gain experience playing basketball. Each time our school receives a donation, we share our excitement with all students and staff. We understand the kind of environment we work in, and take our jobs as educators very seriously. Thank you so much for generosity.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Kiernan
