The mission at our school is simple to say, yet difficult to achieve. We will "create an innovative environment where ALL children, regardless of differences, will excel. We are dedicated to excellence in education so that each child will become a productive citizen in an ever-changing world." We know that the world around us in changing at neck breaking speed, leaving many students and families struggling to catch up and figure it out. With limited funding and technology available to these students at home, it is my desire to be the change in their lives. I want to provide for them so that they are given an equal opportunity at success. Having the alternative seating will provide a few different benefits for my students and myself. With the stability balls they are able to work on the core muscles, and posture while getting their wiggles out. Providing an option will provide students will allow them to make independent choices, building confidence. This works well with students who struggle with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and other behavior differences. Meeting students where they are is very important and the alternative seating will allow me to provide Being a teacher is a very rewarding job to say the least however, it is very difficult to see my students struggling to focus. This generation is being raised on some of the most advanced technology available. unfortunately due to the poverty in my area, the majority of my students are unable to utilize the new technology. The Kindle Fires will allow me to access new book in a fun and exciting way also exposing them to this new technology. In addition, the cases will keep them like new! Can you help me make a difference in a child's life?
