  • Reading is Everything!

    Funded Dec 24, 2018

First and for most I want to thank everyone that had part in this project. My students we so thrilled when they say the bins!! They loved the colors, but happier to know that they would each have their own! I gave them the opportunity of selecting their own color. Having these bins will make for a smoother transition from their desk to where the bins are stored. The students are happy that they don't have to fuss over finding their bag of books. The bins had such an awesome vibe fo my already colorful classroom. Again thank you so much from room 24.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Amaro

  • With One Click We Got It!

    Funded Dec 26, 2017

The technology is helping my students see many visuals and understanding with pictures. They use multiple math games to be able to master math facts. The thrill in their faces when it is time to use the tablets is amazing.

They love that they can access it by themselves and be able to sit anywhere around the room. They love the fact that they can save anything and pick up where the left off. I only had to instruct my students Anson how to use them. Now they are experts.

All my students have warmed up to it. But mostly the students that don't have access to a computer or tablet at home. This gives them the opportunity to learn, grow and have fun.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Amaro

  • Projector For My Students in Need

    Funded Jan 22, 2016

This project has impacted my students in many ways. My students are able to come up to the projector area and project work, math problems, write sentences, etc. It has also helped my visual learners and my ELL students. I have also been able to project educational videos, especially math ones that have helped a lot.

It has also helped me because I can explain everything by projecting it and not fearing that all students are not able to see. With this projector I am able to do lots of my direct teaching, My students have been so excited since we got it. They love being able to go up and show their work. They feel very important like a teacher.

I want to thank all the generous people that donated to my project. It has been an honor to utilize in so many ways. You have helped my students achieve many goals. My students and I are forever grateful.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Amaro

My students are a great group of kids. 14 out of 24 are English Language Learners. They all have free breakfast and lunch. They learn best through modeling and visual examples due to language barriers they experience. At home, they lack language exposure and are exposed to minimal technology.
