Technology in my classroom will not only allow us to research historical topics, it will make differentiated, individualized instruction easier. My students will be able to dig deeper into the lives of historical people, view interviews from experts, or even just give struggling readers a chance to listen to audio books so they have an opportunity to fully understand topics that we cover. These Chromebooks will allow them to explore topics that our textbook doesn't cover, they can see for themselves every aspect of history. History will no longer be just names and dates, but images, art, videos, and artifacts. Some of my students come from low socioeconomic homes and do not have access to technology or even the internet at home, bringing these things into the classroom will give them an opportunity to explore and learn.
