My students are Freshmen in an urban high school who have grown up in an era of standardized testing- Testing that has stifled their creativity and have buried their "Why" and "What if..." questions and childhood curiosity under the piles of worksheets and scantrons used to teach them. It is time that their curiosity, creativity, and dreams are awaken... and the Genius Hour Project will help do it! They don't know it yet, but inside each of my aloof Freshmen are young minds of Innovators, Engineers, Designers, Scientists, Artists, Scholars, and Geniuses!
