  • Active Preschoolers Need Rest Time

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Rest time is necessary in Pre-K after a busy day of work, also known as PLAYTIME, in our preschool classroom. It is such a pleasure for the children to have clean, comfortable cots to rest upon.

The children were thrilled to see the cots arrive after our custodians assembled them.

Now that winter has set in and it's not possible for everyone to play outside on our playground, it's time to utilize our gross motor room for indoor exercise before rest time. We could really use some indoor equipment to develop our large muscles. Right now we're so happy to have a comfy place to rest, thanks to all our generous donors!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Schuster

  • Learning Can Be Fun at Home

    Funded May 8, 2020

I am moved beyond words to find out that generous donors like you have made my project fully funded! With less than two months left in this current school year, I will be able to assemble and deliver these "Learning Can Be Fun at Home" care packages to each student. My Pre-K students will be thrilled to receive the learning materials and snacks to ease the stress of being at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. Most of all, it will help them be prepared for Kindergarten in the Fall.”

  • Learning is Hands-On!

    Funded Jan 25, 2018

Your concern and generosity will never be forgotten! Each time I witness my students engaged in learning, using these materials, I will undoubtedly say, “thank you from the bottoms of all of our hearts 💕,” hoping those words reach you wherever you may be!!! In turn, I hope to instill that trait of generosity in each of my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Schuster

I have an very active group of 20 kindergarten students in an urban school district where the poverty rate is above 90%. Half of them are English Language Learners from countries in Asia and Africa and many are refugees. I believe young children learn best through developmentally appropriate learning activities which allow them to explore the world around them through play and creative arts, in addition to technology and instruction in English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science.
