This project will make a difference in my student's learning because it will acknowledge all the effort our students have put in to meet the Third Grade Reading Guarantee law in Ohio. This will be an opportunity to celebrate our successes and will motivate them to do better in school. Many of these students do not have the opportunity to eat at a restaurant due to their low economic status. Therefore, restaurant food can be brought to our school for them to taste and celebrate their accomplishments. Being in Third Grade is a critical time in the present time since the new law of Third Grade Reading Guarantee passed in Ohio. Students need to work harder and are tested more often to comply with the requirements. Rewarding Third Graders for their efforts would be very beneficial for our students.
