My school is Title I which means 90% of students receive free or reduced price lunches due to financial hardship. We live in a very large city, and the school is in an urban location with limited green space. The school campus itself has more greenery and trees than students see at their homes. Even though these kids come from a rough neighborhood, they are very respectful of our school campus and love our school garden. Students plant, water, and harvest the garden.
