  • Cursive Writing in 2024

    Thank you very much for these cursive writing books. I realized last year that my students did not know how to read and write cursive and that we no longer teach it in school any more.

    However, it is very important that students learn cursive because when they need to sign their names for a check, a loan, any official papers they are going to need to know this very important skill.

  • Pencils for Writing

    Thank you so much for the number one thing that my students ask me for everyday, pencils. They are such a hot commodity in school. Pencils are essentials and it makes it so much easier for me to just give a pencil to a students then for them to look for a pencil in their bags for 30 mins.

    I no longer have to hear Ms, do you have a pencil, Ms, do you have a pencil, Ms, do you have a pencil?

    Some students forget to bring a pencil when they are busy worrying about what they are going to eat.

Amongst all the poverty and violence in our neighborhood, our school allows all of our students a chance to graduate high school with a college degree... without having to pay a cent. However, our middle school needs to be up to date with the the high school. We have chalkboards that are dusty and old.

About my class
