Lots of students don't have desks or learning spaces. The clipboards and notebooks should help with that somewhat. Additionally, I've been getting carpal tunnel from straining my wrists when I type while we Zoom. I type almost all the verbal questions I pose to students to help lower the language demands of the course while we're on Zoom. Many of our students have significantly limited language fluency, so providing real-time captioning is a massive boon to their participation and understanding. Furthermore, as we transition into a potential hybrid teaching model, the headphones-microphone I've been using will no longer serve students as it restricts my ability to move around and prevents me from hearing much in my immediate environment.
