Having a variety of books in the classroom will help engage my students in their everyday independent and partner reading. A lot of my students are still learning how to read, if I can provide books on their reading level, it will make a huge difference in their reading abilities, their attitude toward reading, and their confidence in reading. I've noticed that more than half of my students do not have many books at home. I want to run a classroom library where they can read our wonderful books in the classroom and check out books for home. It is my goal to have all my students on grade level. The extra reading at home will definitely have a big impact.
