This coming year at Englewood, we will be creating a sensory room for general education students, K-5th grade, called The Nest. This room will be accessible to students in need of a space to help them refocus, regulate and be more successful in the classroom. To do this, we will be creating a physical obstacle course, providing fidgets and sensory tools to help maintain focus, and offering a variety of seating options to best support the student maintain academic stamina and concentration. Our hope is that The Nest will offer much needed support to students who need more than what is being offered in their home classrooms.
