As a teacher in a self-contained class, I find myself teaching everything from reading and writing to geography, math and science, social skills, and so much more. While teaching these subjects I also need to find and use materials that are suitable to each ability level in my classroom. Creating all of this is not feasible. This is where Teachers Pay Teachers comes in. Other teachers have been able to create content from their area of expertise and are willing to provide this to other teachers, for a fee. One specific thing I would like to purchase are symbol supported reading texts. These specific passages will help beginning and struggling readers, multilingual students, and non-verbal students to become more successful readers. There are other subjects that come up during the year that I would like to have the opportunity to purchase great resources to help with my teaching.
