I teach at a school that is not only an amazing place for academics but where emphasis is put on building strong relationships and self discovery. Those 3 things are the foundation for how I run my classroom. My room is a place where self discovery is encouraged and building trust with my students and helping them build trust with each other is of the utmost importance. Giving them the opportunity and tools to learn to express themselves through art is such an important thing to learn. I hope that they can take those skills out into their other classes and out into the world to show others what can be created and how problems can be solved through art.
