I have ESOL students, some of who have just immigrated to the United States. They are learning English in an immersive environment. Students deserve the best education and should feel empowered by language. My students would greatly benefit from using an iPad for communication. Using apps like Google Translate, Fluent U, Starfall, and more would make the world of difference for them. Having the ability to translate the work and learn through these apps would boost their confidence and language skills. These students would feel empowered by this technology, not feeling lost in the lessons and work because they don't understand the language.
