  • Supplied Classroom = Happy Classroom!

    Funded Oct 30, 2019

Words cannot describe how blessed my students and I have been due to your donations! We have used these materials to create, collaborate, and learn! It has truly been a joy in my own life to watch my students be able to complete fun interactive activities and projects due to your generous donation.

Because of you, my students will carry with them memories embedded with content knowledge from science class. I have high hopes and intentions that everything we complete in science will stick with my students and help them in the real world. Much of this was possible because of you. We are blessed by your kindness and generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wilson

  • Recreation Time is our Motivation!

    Funded Oct 23, 2019

Thank you so much for contributing recess equipment to our afterschool program! We believe that play triggers learning in our brains and helps motivate our students to succeed! Due to your kindness and generosity, our students have truly been able to express themselves through play.

Through the various items that you donated, our students have truly enjoyed our recreation time more. Our afterschool counselors and I noticed a significant positive difference in how our students behaved and viewed recreation time after the new equipment was introduced. Thank you so much for blessing us and ensuring that our students feel special!”

  • Supplies for Success!

    Funded Apr 8, 2019

We are blessed beyond belief by your donation to our classroom! We have used our brand new resources for STEAM projects this school year and we are off to a great start! To learn the Technological Design Process, we built boats out of everyday household items at the beginning of the school year. The students used tape, card stock paper, and pencils from this Donors Choose project in order to excel in this project. We use these items on a daily basis in our classroom and to be able to start the school year with a fresh supply was outstanding!

When my students first saw the materials provided to them this school year, they were stunned! We use interactive notebooks in science class for students to keep up with their work and stay organized. Because of the card stock you provided, students were able to have decorative, sturdy notebook covers this school year. They colored the words in on the covers themselves on the card stock paper. I believe in teaching students to take pride in their work and materials and this was a great start to that in our classroom this year!

In our next STEAM project, students will create children's books to teach younger students at our feeder schools about Cells. The card stock, pencils, tape, and sheet protectors will aide us in making these books enriching, neat, and desirable for the younger students. Not only will my students be affected, but students younger than them will be able to learn effectively because of what you have provided. Thank you so much for giving graciously and for caring about kids! You are appreciated and we are very thankful for you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wilson

  • Paper (Learning) Productions!

    Funded Dec 25, 2018

Due to your kindness and generosity, our end of the year activities have been unlimited! As a teacher, I have been able to plan many different engaging learning experiences for my students this year because of the paper provided through your donation. We have used keys in order to decipher remains found in owl pellets, we have used colored Astro-bright paper to display work on, and we have been able to do daily activities thanks to you providing paper.

This has taken a huge burden off of me as a teacher, not having to stress about our paper supply. Being to plan whatever met the needs of my students best has been a blessing this school year. This would not have happened if it were not for you.

When I notified my students that there was paper donated to our classroom, they were thrilled. This means that when we record data, I can provide outlines for them so that they do not have to hand write each separate word and table. This has saved us time and stress that we would have had if students had to record everything in their notebooks by hand.

Our last project for the school year is to write letters to our rising seventh grade students. We will use the beautiful Astro-bright paper to write these letters. In these, letters, current students will explain to our upcoming students the tools they need to be successful in seventh grade and in seventh grade science. This is a fun activity that we complete at the end of each year, normally on notebook paper. This year, they will look so nice and neat on our Astro-bright paper. We cannot thank you enough for your kindness and for your giving heart!”

    Mrs. Wilson

  • Basic Supplies Lead to Exceptional Learning!

    Funded Dec 20, 2018

My students are working hard and learning plentifully, thanks to your donation! We are currently working on a Genetics STEAM project in which students are completing research about different controversial topics in genetics and deciding how much of their "funds" (a bank of points) they are allocate towards research of each topic. Due to your generosity, my students have supplies that aide them in their research such as clipboards, pencil sharpeners, post-it notes, highlighters, and pencils that help them complete their work.

When my students first saw the materials, they were so shocked, asking "are these really ours?" over and over again. They were in disbelief that these materials would be readily available to them each day as they work. Many of them are not used to having access to materials freely so when they have this access in my classroom, it takes away the worry of lack of resources for them.

Next, we will begin our ecology unit, learning about different biomes of plants and animals through research, exploration, hands-on learning experiences, and virtual field trips. The resources that you provided for them allow them to work collaboratively and freely. Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and willingness to help my students. We are so appreciative and we are thankful for this foundation that you have given us.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wilson

  • Scientists Need STEM Materials!

    Funded Nov 29, 2018

We cannot thank you enough for the donation of supplies that you have made to our classroom! Through your gift, we have been able to enhance our daily classroom STEAM experiences. In our classroom, we have used our supplies to build, create project components, and collaborate with each other. The tape, scissors, clipboards, tape dispensers, glue sticks, and pens will be used in each of our STEAM experiences this year. In addition to this, the iPad case allows students to use our classroom iPad on a daily basis without me having to worry about its safety. Students navigate through each unit in 7th grade science and use the information they learn to create a culminating STEAM experience at the end of each unit (in addition to smaller, weekly STEAM activities). All of these supplies are so supplemental to their learning.

The product that has been most exciting for my students to use has been the magnetic mobile whiteboard! This whiteboard has given my students the opportunity to share collected data, present projects, and read daily messages. Through your donations, you have provided them with a new, effective way to take charge of their own learning. They are excited to create, chart, and research now that they know their findings will be presented on the magnetic mobile whiteboard.

These materials have truly changed how my students look at learning. The materials cause them to get excited about projects and collaboration. We are truly blessed by your kindness and generosity! We cannot thank you enough!”

  • Organization is Key!

    Funded Aug 9, 2018

We cannot thank you enough for the donation of supplies that you have made to our classroom! Through your gift, we have been able to enhance our classroom STEAM experiences. In our classroom, we have used our supplies to build, create project components, and collaborate with each other. The tape, calculators, colored pencils, Lysol wipes, and pens will be used in each of our STEAM experiences this year. Students navigate through each unit in 7th grade science and use the information they learn to create a culminating STEAM experience at the end of each unit (in addition to smaller, weekly STEAM activities).

The product that has been most exciting for my students to use have been the scotch tape! Tape is essential in our science class because we create science interactive notebooks. We need the tape to place work into their notebooks. A lot of students cannot provide their own tape and this year, I am able to easily provide it for them, thanks to your donation!

These materials have truly changed how my students look at learning. The materials cause them to get excited about projects and collaboration. We are truly blessed by your kindness and generosity!”

  • STEAM Students: Broadcasting for Our Community

    Funded Apr 20, 2018

We cannot thank you enough for the donation of technology supplies that you have made to our classroom! Through your gift, we have been able to enhance our classroom STEAM experiences. In our classroom, we have used our pad's to research, create project components, and collaborate with each other. The green screen, tripods, and microphones will be used in each of our STEAM experiences this year. Students navigate through each unit in 7th grade science and use the information they learn to create a culminating STEAM experience at the end of each unit (in addition to smaller, weekly STEAM activities).

The product that has been most exciting for my students to use have been the pad's. The students are very cautious using the iPad, making sure it stays safe in transitions and during group work. Most of my students have never seen an iPad let alone used one, so the iPad's are exciting for them as they use different research apps, play science STEM games, and work on Google apps to collaborate. My ESOL students have especially utilized our iPad's as they can use them to research word meanings that they are adding to their knowledge base as we learn!

These materials have truly changed how my students look at learning. The materials cause them to get excited about projects and collaboration. We are truly blessed by your kindness and generosity!”

  • Coloring Our Way To Becoming Effective Scientists!

    Funded Jan 15, 2016

Thank you so much for funding my first Donors Choose project! Words truly cannot express how much I appreciate your selfless generosity.

With the artistic tools that you have funded my students will be able to learn through the implementation of color. We use these colored pencils many times during a busy week in our classroom; students are benefiting greatly from seeing the content in color!

I am so proud of the work that they have completed using these tools thus far! This would not have been possible if it were not for you. I cannot wait to see more progress that they make with the help of these artistic tools. Thank you for giving my students the opportunity to learn!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wilson
