Classroom Tools for Learning!
Funded Jan 28, 2025Thank you so very much for your generosity! Receiving the news that my project was funded put a giant smile on my face. I cannot wait to use these new materials in my classroom. I know my students are going to be beyond excited to use the bouncy bands on their chairs, solve the floor puzzle together, and practice their sounds in such an interactive way. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Carter's | OshKosh B'gosh.Reading & Learning Through Listening!
Funded Aug 27, 2019We cannot thank you enough for your generous donations! With your support, you have helped reading come alive in our classroom. My scholars love having a Listening Center in our library to listen to different books. The comfy seat cushions make it all the more better too!
As a kindergarten teacher, I am working on building a foundational love for reading. Being able to listen to a story read aloud through technology is a great way to do so. My students are SO excited when they get to go to the Listening Center.
Some of my students have special needs and are English language learners. The materials you helped purchase for our Listening Center are helping them learn to read as they can hear the story read aloud and follow along with their own copy of the text.
My students and I thank you again for your generosity and support!”

Learning & Fun During Center Time!
Funded Mar 20, 2017We are loving our new Osmo kit and activities for centers! We have been using our Osmo kit and the different phonics materials on a daily basis for our small-group work during center time. When our students first saw our new materials, they were so excited! The students in our class are familiar with Osmo, and were so excited to discover that they now had one to use in their own classroom.
We have created various activity sheets to go along with the different puzzles and activities. Our students are engaged and loving the new activities they use during phonics centers. We plan on continuing to use our Osmo kit and phonics materials during center time. Based on the needs of our students, we will continue to use these different materials to meet their needs and to encourage interaction and cooperation among our students.
Our class is SO thankful for your generous donations! Your support is contributing towards our learning and fun each and every day in our classroom!”

Mrs. O’Brien
iPad for Learning
Funded Aug 4, 2016Dear Donors,
I want to start off by saying that my students LOVE our class iPad mini! We have been using our iPad on a daily basis in our classroom. Having the protective cover and headphones has made it very kindergarten friendly as well :)
We use our iPad every day during our phonics centers. Our school is using a reading and phonics program called "Lexia." The great thing about Lexia is that students can access it on iPads! We have incorporated using Lexia into our phonics centers on the iPad every day. My students love the flexibility to go anywhere they want to around the classroom with the iPad and headphones.
In addition to Lexia, I have downloaded many great apps for my students to use! They have been using these apps to practice their handwriting, math skills, sight words, and so much more!
My students and I thank all of you for your generous donations for our iPad mini, headphones and case! We cannot wait to continue using our new technology throughout the rest of the year!”

Moving, "Wobbling" & Learning in Kindergarten!
Funded Aug 2, 2016Dear Donors,
My students and I cannot thank you enough for your generous donations to purchase 3 Wobble Chairs for our classroom! Our school year is off to a great start, and having Wobble Chairs available to use during small group instruction, or on an individual basis for students who need some extra movement has truly made a BIG difference!
My students were so fascinated when we first showed them the Wobble Chairs. One student said, "Wow, those are cool! I want to try that!" My students love having the opportunity to use the Wobble Chairs while they learn during reading, writing, math and social studies.
I have noticed a big difference with having Wobble Chairs available to my students. They are a sweet, curious and energetic bunch of 5 year olds, and this project is helping meet the needs of my learners in a huge way.
My students and I thank each and every one of you for your contributions!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. O’Brien
