  • Diversify Our Library!

    Funded Sep 1, 2020

Thank you so very much for taking the time to view and most importantly contribute to our class project. The books requested will help to foster my students text to self connections as they are able to see representation of themself through the diverse books. In addition, students will be able to understand and have compassion for each other while fostering students' love for reading. I am looking forward to sharing these books with my students as well as expanding my classroom library with diverse books. I also look forward to sharing the list of books requested with my co-teachers and colleagues so that together we can "diversify our classroom libraries".”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Santiago

  • Love for Books!

    Funded Mar 5, 2020

Your generosity is greatly appreciated! My students will benefit from the materials requested. My below leveled readers will have the opportunity to read meaningful books appropriate for their reading level. I look forward to using the books during small group and guided reading instruction. Most importantly, I would love to see my students reading levels go up and prepare them for the next school year. I hope that they are able to master age level literacy concepts. Thank you for making such a positive impact in our classroom.”

  • Let's Learn with FIRE-Tablets!

    Funded Mar 6, 2020

Your generosity is greatly appreciated. The Fire Tablets will help my students master fundamental concepts and skills throughout core academic areas.

The Fire Tablets will be used in Reading and Math to enhance students' understanding of fundamental concepts through visuals and additional practice.

Students will be able to practice fundamental math skills such as addition and subtraction fluency. Students can use the tablet to view education videos as well as complete self paced lessons created by me. This would provide individual support and differentiation for my students.

I am looking forward to creating engaging online self paced lesson plans for my students.”

  • We Need a Kidney!

    Funded Feb 27, 2020

Thank for taking the time to view and most importantly contribute to our class project. Having a kidney table will be a great addition to the furniture in our classroom. A kidney table will support small group and guided reading instruction as students will be in a personal and closer proximity learning environment when sitting at the kidney table. As a result, students are able to focus more during small group instruction. Looking forward to receiving and implementing the kidney table in the classroom. Thank you!”

  • Spotless Learning Environment

    Funded Nov 13, 2019

Your generosity is greatly appreciated! My students enjoy sitting in different places of the classroom. One of the most comfortable places is the classroom carpet. Now it's not only comfortable, it is also clean! I am able to vacuum the carpet before the students enter the classroom in the morning. There is nothing better than a clean and dirt free learning environment. When my students see pencil shavings or scraps on the carpet they quickly remind me that I can use the vacuum. Some even want to help me vacuum. It is impressive to see how they are more aware of cleaning up after themselves as well as keeping our classroom clean and safe from germs and dirt.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Santiago

  • Cheers to an Organized Classroom

    Funded Aug 14, 2019

Thank you for your kind donation. The materials requested have helped us stay organized. We placed our school supplies on the organizers to help us have room in our desk as well as a quick place to reference when we need a specific supply. The organizer is clear and is placed in our classroom closet where it's not visible for visitors to see ( our classroom looks super cleaned and organized) but is visible for us to accesses. This provides more room on our bookshelves for more books and other learning resources. Thank you! The stools provide another option for flexible seating in our classroom. This year is going to be an exciting, organized and rewarding year because of you.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Santiago

  • Q Ball and Flexible Seating to Motivate Class Participation

    Funded Aug 12, 2019

Thank you for your generosity! Starting the school year with the materials requested is really benefiting my students. We are currently using the tools requested as a flexible seating option. The QBall has helped my students come out of their comfort zone by encouraging them to have their voice heard through class participation. My students are very eager to participate in all subject areas. Most importantly, they are focused and able to hear each others responses. Thanks to your kindness, incorporating the Qball and the materials requested has influenced my student's ability to focus and do their very best. It is evident that these materials have positively changed my student's work space, learning and motivation. I look forward to continue using the materials donated.”

  • Sensory Tools and Alternative Seating for Stress-Free Learning

    Funded Aug 27, 2019

I would like to take this time to thank you for your generosity. My students are benefiting from your kind donation. We are currently using the materials requested in all subject areas as well as to support us emotionally. We are super excited about the change in our classroom. Incorporating additional flexible (alternative) seating options has given my students the freedom to find comfortable spaces around the room to work. Not only are my students comfortable, they are also more focused and eager to learn because they have a choice to select the best learning space to meet their personal learning needs. My students are enjoying the lap tables when working with a buddy, group or independently. They absolutely love the Teepee! It's their favorite place to read. The weighted blankets and sensory tools have been of great help as my students that tend to get nervous/anxious are able to find comfort or cope with their emotions by using these resources. Thanks to your kindness, incorporating these materials has influenced my student's ability to focus and do their very best. It is evident that the materials donated has positively changed my student's workspace, learning and motivation.”

  • iPads To Motivate New Generation of Learners

    Funded Nov 21, 2017

I would like to take this time to thank you for your generosity. My students are benefiting from your kind donation. We are currently using the Ipad provided as an extra support in our addition and subtraction unit. My students had the opportunity to use the Ipad in our literacy unit as well. They had the option to research more information about community helpers to complete their community helper informational book. Students were excited to see interactive videos as well as books about their community helper. During phonics students are able to use the material to explore new words in a fun and meaningful way. It's amazing to see how my students have increased their knowledge of word recognition and have increased their reading levels using educational websites such as, Raz-kids.

My students reaction when they saw the material was priceless. They continue to express the same excitement as they did on the first day. As the year progresses I know that my students reading, writing and math abilities will increase thanks to your support. I look forward to providing more small group, individual and partner activities for my students to incorporate the Ipad to their everyday learning.”
