My students are eager to learn positive traits. My students enjoy engaging in meaningful experiences at school through whole and small groups. My students enjoy our SEL (social emotional learning) curriculums: Teach Kindness, and Second Step My students come from a neighborhood that is faced with many challenges on an ongoing basis. Our student population consists of 99% of our students living below the poverty level. Although many of my students feel unsafe in the neighborhood at times, they appear to feel safe at school. My students also enjoy singing, dancing, role-playing, and reading. They enjoy taking field trips outside of school. Our school environment is committed to the following: Providing a nurturing, caring, and intentional learning environment for our young learners.
