  • Wobbling To Learn Really Works in 4th and 5th Grade

    Funded Nov 14, 2017

I cant believe this, I am beyond thankful for all your help and love on my students. What a surprise for the holiday :) The wobble chairs will make such a positive impact on the learning success of my students across all settings and classrooms. Being able to learn in the best environment is the key to optimal learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Blakey

  • Interactive & Tactile Uses for Our iPads

    Funded Feb 2, 2016

I continue to be amazed by the power of technology in keeping my students engaged and actively learning math and reading. The Osmo numbers have great uses for addition and numeral id. The dot patterns work on subitizing and are fun with the submarine app as well as adding two numerals together to get to the target number with the fish. The tiggly apps are amazing. The Doctor and Sesame Street are even fun for my older elementary students. My younger elementary students love to use the rubber letters with Tiggly and my older students use their finger. My students enjoy finishing up their work and going through center rotations with the number apps.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Blakey

  • Bring OSMO to Exceptional Learners

    Funded Nov 30, 2015

I am not sure even I fully understood the impact that OSMO would be able to provide my students. There are so many wonderful teachers who have uploaded additional word lists and my students are able to work on medial vowel patterns, ending and beginning and sounds. It is amazing to watch how excited they get when working independently as well as competitive and energetic when they do a two player game. The Tangram program has been used independently and as a pair project. They are learning to problem solve and fine motor control to solve puzzles. They look forward to their day in the center rotation to work with OSMO during reading and math time and I am loving all the resources osmo website has for teachers.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Blakey
