  • STEAMING Into Our Education!

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

I cannot Thank You enough!! This is my first year teaching K-5 STEAM and if that weren't challenging enough, it is also a brand new program in my district. I started with almost zero supplies to teach nearly 500 students a week. Teaching a project based learning curriculum can be very expensive and without your generous donations this program would not be thriving in the way it is! Students are coming to class super excited about our next project and having those supplies keeps the momentum going! Again, Thank You So Much!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lantinga

  • Back to Basics

    Funded Dec 14, 2020

We are READY to learn!! Thank you so much for donating to this wonderful project, my students can breathe a sigh of relief that when they return to in-person learning on Monday they don't need to worry about where their pencils, highlighters, markers, and pens are going to come from. It's hard to believe that some kids don't have the means to procure a writing utensil to complete their classwork with or markers to create posters and projects with, but now because of your wonderful generosity, that is no longer a concern.

    We can't thank you enough!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lantinga

  • Literacy in Science

    Funded Oct 15, 2020

Thank you so much for your donations to bring diverse books into my classroom and into the hands of so many students! With our school being 100% online at this time my students have not yet had the opportunity to select and read books, but they are all prepped and ready to go for when the kids are ready to return to class. I have shown my students all of the selections that will be available to them upon their return and many have expressed their excitement and asked to reserve certain books. I love that I have been able to create some anticipation and interest in reading prior to their return to school and it's all because of you!! I cannot thank you enough for reaching out and helping kids!! You are so AWESOME!!”

  • Maker Space Basics

    Funded Mar 21, 2019

Thank you so much for you contribution to our new Maker Space! These types of spaces can get expensive quickly and without you, we wouldn't be able to keep ours stocked with new and different materials that inspire students to build and design.

Students were able to engineer a snowman catcher, and space aliens the materials that you contributes, as well as some super fun catapults! I hope you enjoyed the pictures we shared of a few of their designs.

I am always astonished by the generosity of others to classrooms and students that you will probably never have the opportunity to see for yourself! Thank you so much for your contribution to help build and shape young minds!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lantinga

  • Starting with STEM!

    Funded Mar 18, 2019

I am so excited to announce the absolute success my students had with their Science Fair projects and it is all because of your generosity. Students who don't have the extra money to buy trifold display boards, materials to put their projects together and materials to use when conducting their experiments were blessed with all of those great resources because of people like you who are willing to give!

I am always astonished that people are willing to give to classrooms and students that they don't know personally. What a blessing you are and thank you so much for your generosity!!”

  • Stay Clean - Stay Healthy

    Funded Jun 10, 2017

Thank you so much for your donations to this project! My Advisory students were so excited to all the wonderful resources then they arrived to our classroom. They formed an assembly line and had over 100 care packages of toothpaste, soap, shampoo, hand sanitizer, and toothbrushes packed and ready for distribution in under 20 minutes. The great big smiles and chatter of "how wonderful the people are who helped to donate these to us," was contagious!

Your generous donations will not only help students who are in need of basic care items, but also provide a real life example of how the world is a better place when we take care of each other! Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

  • Environmental Science Labs Go Green!

    Funded Dec 25, 2016

We can't thank you enough for our hands on materials!! My students don't know whether to be completely grossed out by the invasive species kit or beside themselves with excitement to get to study them. I am guessing it's both! I unpacked the box so that they could get a good look at our upcoming unit and critters we will be studying. A few of the kids said, "Why would someone send us that?" I couldn't help but laugh! The lamprey really took them by surprise.

Our water pollution kit will be used by my seventh graders next and they are very excited to get to work on testing ground water. We can't possibly thank you enough for your kindness and generosity! Thank you for sharing your resources so that we could have resources as well!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lantinga

  • Art and Science Go Hand in Hand

    Funded Sep 11, 2016

    Dear Donors,

Thank you so much for your contributions to our classroom! Amazing learning could not take place if it were not for your generosity and kindness.

My students were so excited when the materials arrived, several said, "It feels like my birthday!" and "You mean someone who doesn't even know us bought things for us! Wow!"

What a great example this sets for showing kindness to others. I don't think kids today witness that very often in their lives.

Isn't it nice to know that your contribution touches students in so many ways that goes beyond a set of markers, pens and paper? We can't thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

  • Help Us Create High Quality Work!

    Funded Dec 12, 2015

Thank you so much for your contribution to our project!! My students were so excited when they found out new pens and markers had arrived. We are exactly half way through the school year and our "beginning of the year" supplies ran out about a month ago. So, when the new shipment arrived the kids wanted to get to work on a new project right away. You really can't get much better than that! It amazes me every time how Donor's Choose and all of the wonderful contributors inspire students and their learning in such powerful ways.

    Again thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lantinga

  • Student-Led Project: Today's Science Classroom

    Funded Sep 21, 2015

Getting middle school student excited about reading is definitely a challenge, but thanks to you they are doing a lot more of it and they are excited! As soon as the new magazines were delivered the students couldn't wait to get their hands on them. I am always so amazed how the kids are excited about learning when they know the new materials are donated from perfect strangers whose main goal is to impact their educations in a positive way; that you spent your hard earned money on THEM! We can't possibly thank you enough.”

    With gratitude,
