Reading is Everywhere!
Funded Sep 6, 2018I wanted thank you all for contributing to my "Reading is Everywhere" project. My students absolutely loved the reading bags! They were so excited when I opened the box and saw the bright colors the bags came in. Each student was able to pick out his/her favorite color to use for the year.
Originally, the bags were supposed to be used just for their take home reading books, but now they have turned into their homework bags as well, which has kept my students' very organized. My students are now completing all their homework because they have everything they need in one place and are very unlikely to forget to take home the colorful bag. Moreover, the bags are so durable that I will be able to continue to use them each year that I teach!
I truly appreciate your support for both my students' and myself. Your donation has really improved the quality of maintaining my reading books for years to come as well as organizing my students' work.”
With gratitude,
Ms. E.
This classroom project was brought to life by Neukom Family Foundation and 7 other donors.I Can't Hear You
Funded Nov 8, 2017Thank you so much for your contributions to my classroom. It is now so much easier to keep track on the markers and supplies for each of the students. Students can now freely borrow my supplies by taking the pencil boxes to and from school, and I am therefore, able to assign a lot more at home projects. Additionally, students do not feel embarrassed about asking and returning supplies like in the past. Furthermore, thank you for the addition of the microphone for my classroom. The students are really enjoying using it when they give their presentations and I am finally able to hear some of my quieter students.”
With gratitude,
Ms. E.
Hearing the English Language Come Alive!
Funded Apr 19, 2017Thank you so much for your generous contributions to my classroom. Students are enjoying using the nice, big comfortable rug for reading activities. It really makes the classroom much more enticing and students run to the rug to listen to stories as well as to complete their reading to self activities in class. Furthermore, the headphones have been invaluable. My students are now able to access the online reading, writing, science and math programs that the school offers. Students love using the computers and now have the opportunity to access curriculum at their own individual levels. Additionally, by having their own headphones, students are also acting more responsible as each student has been assigned his/her own set of headphones to be in charge of.
Thank you again for allowing my new students to the United States the opportunity for a more enriching and engaging education. We really appreciate your contributions to our classroom this year and know we will continue to use these resources in years to come!”
With gratitude,
Ms. E.
