My middle school students need basic art supplies such as construction paper, scissoraglue and colored pencils to be used in STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Math). These materials will be used to build upon students’ strengths. By using art activities, we are increasing motivation and engagement in the classroom. STEAM projects will offer varied learning opportunities for students with different learning abilities. Students will design, plan, and execute projects incorporating mathematical elements. By combining arts with math, students get a more hands-on approach, which in turn, helps visual learners better understand what is being taught. With your help, I will be able to continue to teach beyond the traditional method and differentiate instruction to reach all of my learners.
