My school is Title I, with 99% free/reduced lunch and the majority of my students are English language learners. Many of my students come from broken families, some with incarcerated parents and others with parents that are declared homeless. They often do not have substantial financial or academic support at home. While very few of my students have access to instruments at home, they show a passion for music and for learning. Our school is relatively small, being one of the few K-5 schools in the district, and is full of a loving and caring staff, and respectful students.
