  • Food for Thought

    Funded Apr 18, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous donations and interest in my class project Food for Thought. Thanks to all of your thoughtful donations my students will have some brain food and drinks to fuel their minds and keep them focused in class. We are truly beyond grateful! This would not have been possible without all of you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Seervai

  • Gardening Supplies

    Funded Jan 22, 2025

Thank you so much for supporting the Trenton Central High School Horticultural Club! Thanks to you we will now have gardening tools and soil to continue our love for plants and adding more color to our schools campus. Without you, we would not have these supplies to make our gardening dreams possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Seervai

  • Brain Food and a Zen Space

    Funded Sep 23, 2024

On September 23, 2024 I was delighted to find my project "Brain Food and a Zen Space" had gotten fully funded! Students mental wellness has become top priority over the past few years. I am so happy to see Google supporting this cause as well. Having supplies to help create a Zen learning space and snacks to help fuel their minds will help create a relaxing learning environment for my students.

When supplies began to arrive I started putting them to use right away, like the lights and essential oil diffuser. Students immediately noticed the lights and sweet aroma flowing through the room when they first entered my room. They were all able to focus better and relax while making their art. This would not have been possible without you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Seervai

  • Light Pads for Drawing

    Funded Apr 2, 2024

On April 2, 2024, I was excited to find my project "Light Pads for Drawing" had gotten fully funded. This was a project I had posted once before and did not get fully funded. This time however we were lucky! Whenever my students needed to use a light box for a project I would either have to send them to another art room or they would use the class windows to trace on. Now thanks to you generous donors, we have our own class set.

Upon the arrival, we were just beginning a project that required the use of light boxes. Students were excited that they could use a light pad right at their table and didn't have to travel anywhere out of their seats. This would not have been possible without your generous donations. I cannot thank you enough.”

  • Glue Glue and More Glue

    Funded Apr 2, 2024

On April 2, 2024, I was excited to find my project "Glue, Glue and More Glue" had gotten fully funded. Glue is one art supply that is used constantly and constantly running out in my art room. Before this project was funded, I was running so low that I even had a student purchase seven bottles of glue with her own money to donate to the class to share.

Upon the arrival of the glue, students seen the cases and were so excited! We finally didn't have to share from seven bottles anymore. Again, this would not have been possible without the generous donations from all the generous donors. I cannot thank you enough.”

  • Wood Burning Supplies

    Funded Apr 2, 2024

On April 2, 2024, I was excited to find my project "Wood Burning Supplies" had gotten fully funded! When the supplies arrived my students were excited to see that there would finally be enough for each student to have their own wood burning tool. In the past they would have to share one burner between two students.

Over the past school year a few of the older wood burner tools stopped working or the tips broke off and were unsalvageable. Thanks to you generous donors, the supply of wood burners has been replenished and each student can continue to make beautiful wood burning compositions for years to come.”

  • Brain Food

    Funded Jan 6, 2024

On January 6, 2024 I was excited to find my Donors Choose project "Brain Food" had gotten fully funded! In this project I requested small snackable foods and drinks to provide for students who may not have had breakfast or could use a little pick me up to focus better in my classes. Once items arrived I stored them in my closet for safe keeping.

During lunch, many students choose to stay in my room and choose to not eat the lunch provided by the school. This is another time I will ask students if they would care for any of them items donated to me so that they do not go through the whole school day without eating or drinking anything. This is all possible thanks to you and your generous donation. I am sincerely grateful.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Seervai

  • Grow Your Own Veggies!

    Funded Dec 29, 2023

On December 29, 2023 I was excited to find my Donors Choose project, "Grow Your Own Veggies" had gotten fully funded! In this project I had requested items for our schools Horticultural Club such as four raised garden beds and two five tier plant ladders. When items arrived students in my Horticultural Club were very excited! There is currently no where to plant a school garden.

During the following club meeting students began building the ladders and one of the raised beds. They have since finished building them all and are very eager to get them outside and filled this spring. This would not have been possible without your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Seervai

I have three classes of crafts and ceramics I, two classes of crafts and ceramics II and general art I this school year with about 24 students in each class. The school is located in a low income area where poverty, hunger and housing is an issue. Although my students are faced with these challenges, they channel out their demographics and focus on expressing themselves through the production of 2D and 3D art.
