I teach 450 students a week in grades K-5. My students come from diverse backgrounds. 20% receive Special Education, 13% are English Language Learners, 63% receive free or reduced lunch. The students I work with have limited access to technology and limited life experiences. My program allows for hands on, real world technology, science, math integration. The students are eager to attend because they enjoy learning using this approach. We have diverse learning needs, but the one thing they share is a strong inquiry and engagement level with science and technology. I see 59 kindergarten students, 66 1st grade, 71 2nd grade, 68 3rd grade, 60 4th grade, and 60 5th grade students weekly for a 45 minute block.
