My classroom has sometimes been described as organized chaos with students moving around solving math problems, examining maps or globes or delving into a new book with their literature group. This is group of curious and eager 4th graders, who continually have countless questions about the different topics we discuss. My students come from diverse backgrounds and I try to continually instill that knowledge is power and gives the opportunity for each of them to explore many different possibilities for their future. Our students qualify for 100% for Free and Reduced Price Meals. Many of our students families are economically at risk and many students only have access to limited technology offered on a parents phone. They are eager to unearth information on computers, learn research skills, have the ability to use programs that reinforce skills for struggling students or provide an opportunity for my advanced students to access the Internet for activities to stretch their abilities
