Our school is a title 1 school, full of "very willing to learn" students and it is hardly to find something that really sparks up their imagination and at the same time increases their literacy in science and math and then sustain it. Majority of the students are with limited language proficiency. Student grades vary from 1st Grade through 6th grade. As we started with our robotics class, students were very excited and despite of language difficulty students are still able communicate with each other and I think and I believe that it is improving their Basic Interpersonal Communication Skills and will increase their Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency through the challenges they will undergo in this robotics class. I am seeing my students as the future Programmers and Robotic Engineers of this country.
