My students are energetic 10th graders who are trying to understand the world they live in. I teach in a public school that is populated by low income families and there are not many opportunities for these kids to buy their own books. Many of them do not have a stable home and the comforts of things we take for granted. coming from poor families. I want to help them see the world through many eyes, using literature as a guide. Hopefully this will help them understand the world and give them hope when no one else has.
