  • Short on School Supplies!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

I am so profoundly grateful for your generous donation. My students will be comforted knowing they will have the right supplies to help them feel prepared and organized to learn. We will all benefit from the classroom storage. Thanks to you our classroom will now be more cozy and organized. The students were beyond excited to receive all of materials. They helped me open each box and organize all the materials.. They were very proud as they put everything in its place and filled their desks with all of their new supplies!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Miller

This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 2 other donors.
  • An Apple a Day

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

I can't thank you enough for your kind and selfless generosity during this difficult time. Access to technology will make a major impact on my students learning and my capability to plan and deliver lessons! I am better able to keep track of students' grades, create presentations and improve the overall classroom experience. Students will grow academically, socially and emotionally. My students and I are forever grateful. Access to technology will enhance my lessons and create a learning environment for all my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Miller

  • Magical Carpet

    Funded Aug 17, 2021

Unfortunately, due to Covid protocols, we were not able to use the carpet until February. We surprised our students by laying it down while they were at lunch. It immediately brightened and made the classroom cozier! When they walked into the classroom and saw the carpet for the first time, pure joy and excitement! They were extremely thankful!

When our students gather in the meeting area, the carpet serves as our destination spot. Students won't question where to sit, or spread out very far because the rug becomes the destination and the edges of the rug serve as a defined space for them to sit. The carpet is an essential tool not only for deigning a friendly environment but for classroom management as well. The carpet produces a comfortable place for us to expand their learning space onto the floor. Our meeting area is cozy and we all love learning on our beautiful carpet!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Miller

Our fourth-grade team would love to expand the technology reach we have with our students by integrating robotics into the classroom! Our students will be engaged in hands-on, exciting, engaging exploration! We imagine our students working together, asking questions, and solving problems on a whole new level. We want them to have conversations full of discovery. They would share ideas and help each other as they make scientific observations based on their own exploration. Using LEGOs would ensure they would stick with the problem until they found a solution. This is the power of an inspirational and engaging scientific tool such as the LEGO Simple & Powered Machine Sets. This program is suitable for children with a range of abilities and that is what our diverse population of kids require. By having to control a robot and seeing what goes wrong, students learn what they can and can’t do. This would build perseverance as they work together to solve a problem that at first they could not figure out. They are limited only by the limits of their imagination!
