I try to make lessons as engaging as possible. We enjoy using technology on a daily basis, but are limited when it comes down to what technology my students can actually use. We have three iPads that were given to us, but more are needed because we use them daily! With the two requested iPads, students will be able to research or read with the touch of a finger! We use them daily in centers to practice comprehension. They will also be used when we need to quickly research an unfamiliar vocabulary word. A listening center would be ideal if we have enough iPads to increase our fluency skills! We will also use the iPad minis to learn technology skills to make presentations on topics in science and social studies. My students will learn keyboarding, handwriting and word processing skills to create essays and virtual poster boards. My students will become leaders in their classroom, school, and community. Can you image having that kind of power released on the world?
